| 1.Communication |
| Talking between couples is essential! It's better to ask questions rather than to say nothing at all. |
| 2. Acknowledgement |
| Friends always acknowledge friends when they are speaking. It shows you are interested in their feelings and points of view & what they have to say. Acknowledge both when you are speaking. |
| 3. Listening |
| Listening to friends is a great way to build a closer friendship. Couples showing attentive interest can spark additional conversation and ideas. |
| 4. Understanding |
| Empathy is identifying with your couple-friend's feelings and seeing life from their perspective. Building rapports is valuable to all friendships. |
| 5. Complimenting |
| Praising friends & friendships strengthens confidence & comfort levels. Everyone likes a compliment. It opens the door for respectful relationships. |
| 6. Trustworthiness |
| Friends must be able to trust their friends. Couples must be able to trust their couple-friends; with their secrets, small & large, good & bad. Being trustworthy is also being loyal. |
| 7. Equality |
| Good couple-friends treat their friends as equals. Not 50/50 every time, of course, but with a true, lasting friendship it always evens out. |

| To build a good couple-friendship, you must share your feelings, aspirations and dreams. Sharing is fundamental to building relationships and easy to do! |

| Assumption can be taken several different ways by different people/friends. Get all your facts & thoughts together before taking this path. But if you do, always assume the best. |
| 10. Fun |
| Having fun, laughing and sharing common interest, and activities is essential to building couple-friendships. You only live life once! Get out there and have some fun with other couples that have similar lifestyles, interest and desire to meet couples just like you! |
